What is Bread for the City?
Created in 1974, Bread for the City offers comprehensive services to low-income DC residents, including food, clothing, medical and legal services.
How do I volunteer?
Volunteers for Bread for the City can help in a number of ways, including sorting clothing, bagging and distributing food items, and office and administrative help. All volunteers must be vaccinated.
Bread for the City also needs limited help from pre-screened medical and legal professionals to offer specific help to clients.
A list of volunteer opportunities plus a link to the volunteer calendar appears here.
