National Center for Children and Families (NCCF)

Helping children and youth become self-sufficient and confident with social services, advocacy and training

AREA - D.C.

AGE RANGE - 14 and above

What is NCCF?

For over a century, NCCF has served vulnerable children, youth, and families by providing access to programs and service with a four-pronged approach. NCCF provides: community based services, adolescent and youth development, family support and housing services, and foster care and adoption services.

How do I volunteer?

First, volunteers should fill out an interest form. Next, you should sign up for a volunteer orientation. And last, you should email Jackie Britchford to discuss appropriate volunteer opportunities. Last, once you've communicated with her, you can sign up for volunteer openings. These include volunteering at the front desk, in the kitchen, at the donation center, and more.

For Community Based Services, volunteers can participate in read-alouds, provide goods and services to needy community members, and more. Reach out by email to learn more about these opportunities.
